NAGRA Board Positions
If you or a fellow Member-regulator are interested in contributing your energy and time to help guide NAGRA into the future, please respond to the Call for Nominations which is now open for NAGRA's Board of Directors.
There are five vacancies due to board members reaching the end of their term, ending their service with the association or transitioning to the next position. NAGRA expresses its gratitude for their dedicated service and leadership over the past few years. Available board positions are:
- Eastern Regional Director
- Canadian Regional Director
- Indian Country Director
- Secretary
- Vice President
Service Term
The term of office for regional directors is two years and the term for vice president is one year with automatic transition to president. The new board members will begin their service effective at the 2024 Annual General Meeting which is being held June 13, 2024 in Charleston, South Carolina.
Regional Representation
Eastern Region to include nominees from the following locations:
Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, the US Virgin Islands, Vermont, Virginia, Washington D.C. and West Virginia
Indian Country Region to include nominees from the Tribal and First Nation agencies lawfully charged with the regulation and enforcement of any aspect of any type of gaming in their respective jurisdictions
Nomination/Election Process
In accordance with the NAGRA Bylaws, nominations of new members to the Board may be made by any member of NAGRA, including current members of the Board.
A list of all nominees will be announced to the membership prior to the June 13th Annual General Meeting. The voting members will cast their ballots in person or via live polling during the meeting to elect the new board members.
Election of officers and directors shall be by a majority of those voting members casting ballots.
